Pitso Mosimane has been appointed as the new head coach of the South Africa national football team, replacing Hugo Broos, who retired after a successful World Cup campaign. Mosimane, who previously coached South Africa from 2010 to 2012, has just 23 days to prepare for the team’s upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea. His contract extends until the 2030 World Cup, and he is recognized as the most successful Black coach in African club football history.
