Truck crash in Egypt results in 18 fatalities, including child labourers

At least 18 people, primarily children aged 13 and 14, died in a crash involving a pick-up truck carrying agricultural workers in Egypt’s Ismailia governorate. The accident resulted in 47 casualties, with about 30 others injured, prompting an investigation ordered by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. The workers, mostly from two villages in Sharqiya governorate, were traveling to a farm, highlighting concerns about the high rate of road fatalities among minors in the country.
