Trump suggests revoking licenses of TV networks that report negatively on him

President Trump suggested on Thursday that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) could revoke broadcast licenses for networks that he believes provide negative coverage of him, following ABC’s suspension of Jimmy Kimmel’s show. Trump criticized the networks for their unfavorable reporting and praised FCC Chairman Brendan Carr for addressing the issue. Carr previously indicated that action might be necessary against Kimmel over a controversial monologue. Trump’s calls for license revocation are not new, as he expressed similar sentiments last month regarding NBC and ABC.
