Ukraine’s Potential Defence Support for Middle East Amid Iran Conflict

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has offered to provide defensive systems and assistance to civilians and American soldiers in the Middle East amid the ongoing war in Iran. He has proposed exchanging Ukrainian defensive technology for advanced US systems to combat Iranian drones. The US has requested Ukraine’s help in defending allies against Iranian missile attacks, with Zelenskyy confirming Ukraine’s readiness to assist with its expertise in countering drones. Ukraine is in talks with several Middle Eastern countries and has already deployed interceptor drones and specialists to protect US military bases in Jordan. The country’s domestic arms industry has been mass-producing low-cost interceptor drones to counter Russian attacks with Iranian drones.
