The National Archives has launched the “Freedom Plane National Tour,” bringing key founding-era documents out of Washington, D.C., to various U.S. cities in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. The tour began in Kansas City, where visitors can view historic items such as the Articles of Association from 1774, George Washington’s oath from 1778, and the Treaty of Paris from 1783. The exhibit, designed to protect the fragile documents, will travel to multiple cities, concluding in Seattle in August.
