A Canadian tourist, 19-year-old Piper James from Campbell River, B.C., died in January after drowning following a dingo attack on K’gari, a sand island in Queensland, Australia. The Coroners Court of Queensland confirmed that James sustained multiple injuries from the attack before drowning. Eight of the ten dingoes involved were euthanized due to public safety concerns. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with no further details currently available.
