Leclerc leads first practice at 2026 Australian Grand Prix, McLaren and Aston Martin face issues

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc topped the first practice session of the Formula 1 season at the Australian Grand Prix, clocking a fast lap of 1m20.267s to edge out teammate Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen. The session saw teams quickly adapting to the new regulations, although it was largely uneventful. Leclerc’s late push secured his position at the front of the field as the teams gear up for the upcoming race.
