An Alberta road construction company, Roadside Supply Ltd., faces twelve workplace safety charges following a serious incident in April 2024 where worker Cody Gogol sustained life-altering injuries after being crushed by a 907-kilogram steel guardrail. The charges allege the company failed to ensure Gogol’s safety through improper rigging and did not report the injury promptly or secure the scene for investigation. Gogol has since returned to work on modified duties, and the company is scheduled for its first court appearance on March 12.
