Australian Grand Prix organizers express confidence that the recent travel disruptions due to the conflict in the Middle East will not affect the Formula 1 season opener this weekend. Nearly 1,000 staff members have had to adjust their travel plans, with about 500 being flown from Europe on chartered flights. Formula 1 is closely monitoring the situation as future races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are scheduled for April. Australian F1 chief Travis Auld assures that all personnel will arrive on time for the race.
