Hamas has accused Israel of ignoring international mediation efforts amid ongoing bombardments in the Gaza Strip, which they claim hinder stabilization attempts. Spokesperson Hazem Qassem stated that the continued Israeli strikes have resulted in 650 Palestinian deaths, including 198 children, since the ceasefire began. He emphasized that discussions about a ceasefire are not translating into action, with over 72,000 Palestinians reported killed since October 7, 2023, alongside significant destruction of civilian infrastructure.
