Georgia Rizzi describes experience after being struck by lightning

A 16-year-old girl, Georgia Rizzi, was struck by lightning during a thunderstorm in Perth, experiencing severe pain likened to “being stabbed with 1000 needles.” She and a friend were injured when lightning hit a nearby metal post while they were discussing a school event. In a separate incident, 78-year-old Michael Day was also struck while walking his daughter’s dog, resulting in burns and the death of the dog. Both Georgia and Michael were treated at local hospitals and discharged.
