Domenick Chavez, 33, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for causing the death of Laura Lynch, co-founder of the band now known as The Chicks, in a head-on collision in Texas. Lynch, 65, died shortly after the crash, which occurred when Chavez attempted to pass multiple vehicles at speeds of 106 to 114 miles per hour. Chavez, who had a suspended license due to prior DWI convictions, admitted to reckless driving, but alcohol was not a factor.
