At least 74 people, including 25 National Guard officers, have died in Mexico following the operation that resulted in the death of cartel leader Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, also known as ‘El Mencho.’ His death incited violent reactions from the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, leading to widespread unrest, including roadblocks and attacks on businesses across multiple states. The Mexican government has since asserted that the situation is under control, while the U.S. provided intelligence support during the operation.
