Drone Attacks on Civilians Reported in Sudan’s Kordofan
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk reported a worsening humanitarian crisis in Sudan, particularly in el-Fasher and Kordofan, due to ongoing drone strikes by both the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). He highlighted severe civilian casualties, with over 90 deaths and 142 injuries from drone attacks since late January, including assaults on health facilities. Turk emphasized the urgent need for international intervention to prevent further atrocities and warned of escalating violence as the conflict spreads. He attributed responsibility for the atrocities directly to the RSF and its allies.
