Thai elections: Can People’s Party bring reform?

The People’s Party in Thailand, known for its orange campaign buses and promises of reform, faces challenges in the upcoming general election despite strong public support. The party, a progressive movement, aims to challenge the conservative establishment but must contend with past interventions by judges, generals, and the monarchy. Opinion polls suggest they may win the most seats, but forming a government remains uncertain as the rival Bhumjaithai Party and power brokers could sway the outcome. The People’s Party, rooted in the disbanded Future Forward Party, advocates for fair elections and a break from traditional vote-buying practices, seeking to bring genuine change to Thai politics.
