Mother’s body discovered in supermarket freezer

Helen Massiell Garay Sanchez, a 32-year-old anesthesiologist, was found dead in a Dollar Tree store freezer in Miami, Florida, on December 14. Her family is suing store manager Yanelkis Gonzalez for $50 million, claiming negligence in failing to check surveillance footage and ensure all customers had exited before closing. The lawsuit alleges that the freezer was faulty and that employees did not prevent customers from accessing it. A GoFundMe has been set up to repatriate her body to Nicaragua for a proper funeral.
