Trump Administration Releases Details on CBP Shooting of Alex Pretti

The Trump administration notified Congress about the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Alex Pretti, a U.S. Veterans Affairs ICU nurse, by Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis. Pretti was documenting federal immigration operations when he was confronted by agents, resulting in a struggle and subsequent gunfire after an agent claimed he had a weapon. Despite receiving medical attention, Pretti was pronounced dead shortly after the incident. An autopsy is scheduled, and the investigation is ongoing.
