Russian drones kill two, injure many in Ukraine.

More than 200,000 people in the Russian-occupied part of Zaporizhia are without power after a Ukrainian strike, resulting in two deaths and dozens of injuries from Russian drone attacks across Ukraine. President Zelenskyy reported strikes on energy infrastructure in several regions, including over 200 drones used in attacks. The situation is worsened by cold temperatures and ongoing conflict, leading to an energy emergency and a need for international support to restore power and ensure Ukraine’s security. Russia’s assault on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has drawn condemnation from the UN, with vulnerable populations suffering as a result of the power outages in the midst of winter.
