Trump Administration Labels Muslim Brotherhood Branches as Terrorist Groups

The Trump administration has designated the Lebanese, Jordanian, and Egyptian branches of the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organizations, imposing sanctions on them and their members. The State Department labeled the Lebanese branch as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, criminalizing support for it, while the Jordanian and Egyptian branches were added to the Treasury’s Specially Designated Global Terrorist Organizations list due to their links with Hamas.
