Philips Hue introduces SpatialAware, a feature that enhances the use of color-changing lights by mapping the layout and placement of lights in a room. Using a smartphone’s AR capabilities, users can create a 3D model of their space, allowing the Hue app to intelligently distribute colors and effects based on this data. About half of Hue’s lighting scenes have been remastered to utilize this technology, improving the overall lighting experience. The new feature will be available in Spring 2026 for Hue lighting connected to the Hue Bridge Pro.
