Israel’s military has conducted a recent incursion into Saida al-Golan, exacerbating tensions while negotiations between Syria and Israel continue in Paris, mediated by the U.S. Since Bashar al-Assad’s fall, Israel has violated the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, conducting over 600 military attacks in Syria in the past year. Despite ongoing talks, Syria remains committed to its national rights and does not recognize Israel, while the international community largely rejects Israel’s Golan Heights annexation.
