Severe Weather Affects Displaced Families in Gaza

A polar low-pressure system with heavy rain and strong winds has hit the Gaza Strip, worsening the conditions for Palestinians living in inadequate shelters. This is the third such storm this winter, with fears of flash flooding and collapsing structures, particularly in areas already damaged by Israeli bombardment. Since severe weather began in December, 17 Palestinians have died, and over 250,000 displaced individuals have been affected. Living conditions remain dire, exacerbated by Israel’s failure to fulfill its ceasefire commitments and ongoing attacks.
