The Ashes: Gus Atkinson exits with suspected hamstring injury
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

England faces another setback in their current tour, as paceman Gus Atkinson left the field with a suspected left hamstring injury during the Boxing Day Test at the MCG. Atkinson had previously taken a wicket but pulled up after delivering a weak ball to Travis Head. With premier bowlers Jofra Archer and Mark Wood already ruled out, England’s options are limited, relying on Brydon Carse, Josh Tongue, and Ben Stokes. Matthew Potts and Matthew Fisher are potential candidates for the upcoming Sydney Test.
