Tracey Nicholson, who waited 11 years for social housing in Kington, Ont., is now living in a building she describes as “Trauma Tower” due to its unsafe conditions. After experiencing severe fear and mental health decline, she has resorted to sleeping on her couch instead of her bedroom and even spent nights in her car to escape the environment. Police have responded to 366 calls at her residence this year, highlighting ongoing issues with drug trafficking and safety. The Kingston & Frontenac Housing Corporation acknowledges the problems and plans to improve security, while urging residents to take precautions for their safety.
