A homeless woman from Massachusetts, Kerri Aherne, 43, was charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a California woman in Macy’s NYC bathroom. Aherne, who has a history of mental illness and was released from a psychiatric hospital hours before the attack, claimed voices told her to kill or be killed. She faces multiple charges, including two counts of assault, and is currently held without bail. Aherne is due back in court on December 17.
