A 48-year-old man, Thomas Craig, was convicted of attempted murder for violently attacking two train passengers with a glass Buckfast bottle while intoxicated on February 16, 2024. Following an insult, Craig struck one victim multiple times, causing severe injuries, including a stab wound close to the heart for the second victim. After the attack, he attempted to conceal evidence and fled, but was arrested by police. He is scheduled for sentencing on January 12, 2026, at Glasgow High Court.
