Goa Nightclub Fire: Luthra Brothers Misled Police, Court Hears
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Goa Police informed the court that Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, co-owners of the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub, misled investigators regarding their whereabouts following a fire that killed 25 people. The brothers, who applied for anticipatory bail, left for Thailand shortly after the December 6 incident and inaccurately claimed they departed earlier. The court hearings continue, with the brothers asserting they are merely licensees of the venue and traveled for business, not to evade the investigation. Their partner, Ajay Gupta, has been arrested, while the Luthra brothers are detained in Thailand and expected to be deported.
