Gulf Summit Begins in Bahrain

The 46th summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) opened in Manama, chaired by Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who emphasized the need to implement President Trump’s Gaza war plan. This summit marks Sultan Haitham bin Tariq’s first attendance since 2020, highlighting Oman’s significant participation. Key leaders from Kuwait, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar also attended, discussing defense coordination and economic policies. The GCC, established in 1981, includes Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman.
