The Office of Personnel Management confirmed that DOGE is no longer a centralized entity, and its hallmark hiring freeze has ended. The disbandment follows Musk’s conflict with Trump and his plans to form a new political group, the “America Party,” to better represent his views. Musk remains active in Washington, despite the department’s closure.
