Iran has released the Talara, a Marshall Islands-flagged tanker seized five days earlier in the Strait of Hormuz by the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) for allegedly carrying unauthorized cargo. Columbia Shipmanagement confirmed that all 21 crew members are safe and that no allegations were made against the vessel or its crew prior to its release. The tanker was en route to Singapore from the UAE when it was intercepted off Khor Fakkan. This incident marks the first seizure by Iran since its conflict with Israel in June.
