Trump Comments on Democratic Lawmakers
President Donald Trump stated he is “not threatening death” against Democratic members of Congress he accused of “seditious behavior,” which he claimed was historically punishable by death. In a radio interview, Trump asserted that these lawmakers, who had released a video urging military personnel not to follow illegal orders, are “in serious trouble.” He maintained that their actions broke the law and suggested that reactions would differ if the roles were reversed. Michigan Sen. Elissa Slotkin, who led the video effort, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
