A man has been charged with sexual assault after attacking a nurse in the St. Boniface Hospital parkade in Winnipeg on November 8. The nurse was assaulted after being confronted by the assailant, who fled following her screams. Hospital security detained the suspect until police arrived, and he has a history of similar offenses. Following the incident, hospital officials reiterated ongoing safety measures, while the nurses’ union expressed that these measures are inadequate for ensuring staff safety.
