EPAIran, particularly Tehran, is experiencing a severe drought this autumn, prompting officials to urge water conservation. President Masoud Pezeshkian has warned of potential water rationing and even the evacuation of Tehran if rainfall does not improve. With reservoirs nearly empty, the Latian Dam is at less than 10% capacity, and other dams across Iran are similarly depleted. The crisis reflects long-standing issues with water management and infrastructure, exacerbated by recent conflicts and climate factors.
