A Canadian ship, the Rt. Hon. Paul J. Martin, is currently stuck in the Detroit River between downtown Detroit and Windsor. The U.S. Coast Guard is monitoring the situation, describing it as a “soft grounding,” with no reported injuries or pollution. Tug boats are present, but due to poor visibility, plans to re-float the vessel will be evaluated on Saturday morning. The ship was en route to Quebec City at the time of the incident.
