Emirates bans portable chargers on all flights starting October 1

Emirates has imposed a ban on the use of power banks on its flights, effective October 1, 2025, due to safety concerns regarding lithium battery incidents. Passengers may carry one power bank under 1000 watt-hours, but it cannot be used or stored in overhead compartments to mitigate risks of fire and explosion from damaged or overcharged batteries.
