As Alberta’s population increases and more students graduate from high school, gaining admission to competitive university programs like engineering is becoming more challenging. Evan Wray, who had an average of 89.5 percent when applying to the University of Calgary’s engineering program, found that his grades were not sufficient for acceptance.
