Phishing Training Ineffectiveness
Researchers at Black Hat, Ariana Mirian and Christian Dameff, found that phishing training for employees yields minimal improvement, with an average success rate of only 1.7% after extensive testing on over 19,000 UCSD Health employees. Despite various training methods, more than 50% of participants fell for phishing attempts over eight months, indicating significant vulnerabilities in employee awareness.
