The Space Invaders movie is apparently still happening

A movie adaptation of Taito’s classic arcade game, “Space Invaders,” is reportedly moving forward after years of development, with Ben Zazove and Evan Turner now writing the script for Warner Bros.’ New Line Cinema. Originally announced in 2014, the project has seen various changes, but it aims to capitalize on the current trend of video game adaptations; however, no release date or specific plot details have been revealed yet.
