Biden Honors Kenya as the East African Nation Prepares to Send Forces to Haiti

President Biden stated that Kenya would lead a security mission in Haiti to avoid repeating the history of American intervention in the country.
The United States will provide financial support, logistical assistance, and equipment to help Kenya and other nations address the gang violence following the assassination of Haiti’s president in 2021.
However, Mr. Biden emphasized that there would be no American troops on the ground in Haiti for this mission.
