The captain of the crashed Air India Boeing 787-9 is believed to have intentionally cut off the fuel supply before the aircraft went down in Ahmedabad, according to US officials analyzing the black box data. This action led to a catastrophic loss of thrust shortly after take-off, resulting in the deaths of 241 of the 242 people on board when the plane struck a hostel in a residential area.
