Mark Kelvin Jefferson, a 46-year-old labourer, admitted to causing the death of his friend Stuart Stobie, 72, during a hunting trip in March near Minginui, Bay of Plenty. Jefferson, who initially pleaded not guilty to manslaughter, appeared in the High Court at Rotorua visibly upset and entered a guilty plea to the charges.
