The Australian women’s finals streak at Queen’s, lasting over 50 years, ended as Ajla Tomljanovic lost to British No.1 Katie Boulter, who was cheered on by her fiancé, Alex de Minaur. Boulter triumphed 7-6 (7-4), 1-6, 6-4 in a match filled with ups and downs, while fellow Australians Maddison Inglis and Daria Kasatkina also exited in the first round. Despite her loss, Tomljanovic showed promise as she prepares for Wimbledon, where she previously reached the quarter-finals in 2021 and 2022.
