EastEnders star suspended over 'unacceptable' language

EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick has been suspended by the BBC for using a slur against people with disabilities during the filming of Strictly Come Dancing’s Blackpool week last November. The BBC condemned his language as “entirely unacceptable” and contrary to the organization’s values. Borthwick, who plays Jay Brown on the soap, has since apologized for the offense caused, and the BBC News has reached out to his representatives for further comment.
