According to a confidential report from the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Iran has significantly increased its production of highly enriched uranium, now possessing over 400kg at 60% purity, enough for about ten nuclear weapons if further refined. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi expressed serious concern over this development, and with ongoing nuclear negotiations, there is no indication Iran has slowed its enrichment efforts. The report could lead to Iran being referred to the UN Security Council amid fears of it edging closer to a nuclear threshold state.
