Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim were fatally shot outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., after attending an event focused on bridging divides in the Middle East. The shooter, Elias Rodriguez, approached a group of people and opened fire before entering the museum, where he appeared distraught. Following the incident, authorities are investigating whether the attack was motivated by hate, as Rodriguez shouted “Free, free Palestine” upon his arrest, and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and others condemned the violence as antisemitic.
