A new Miami Beach underwater art installation aims to help coral thrive

The Reefline, a 7-mile public art installation off South Beach, Miami, aims to enhance marine life by combining a sculpture park with a snorkeling trail. Founded by Ximena Caminos, the project will begin its first phase with the deployment of submerged concrete sculptures, designed to create habitats for fish and promote coral health, while also combating beachfront erosion. The initiative not only seeks to restore coral populations but also to shift public perception regarding environmental protection through immersive underwater experiences.
