OTTAWA — Prime Minister Mark Carney is set to unveil a new cabinet aimed at distancing his administration from former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, featuring a “small, focused” team of fewer than 30 ministers and up to 10 secretaries of state. Justice Minister Gary Anandasangaree will transition to the public safety department, while Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson will step down, expressing his honor in serving for seven years. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m., with Carney expected to introduce several new junior minister positions.
