British officials are reviewing 417 pages of products that could face US retaliatory tariffs after Donald Trump imposed a 10 per cent levy on British goods. Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds stated that the UK may take retaliatory action if a trade deal with Trump cannot be reached. Prime Minister Johnson warned of potential tax increases or benefit cuts to offset the impact of Trump’s tariffs, as the Federation of Small Businesses reported a third of SMEs have already been affected.
