Michigan synagogue attacker described as unstable before incident by ex-wife

Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, the suspect in last week’s attack on Michigan’s Temple Israel, was described as “not stable” and “suicidal” by his ex-wife in a 911 call made shortly before the incident. Ghazali, who recently lost two brothers in Lebanon, drove to the synagogue and rammed his truck into a security entrance, injuring a guard before dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after engaging in a gunfight. The FBI has labeled the attack a targeted act of violence against the Jewish community.
