The invitation of Kai Trump to the LPGA’s upcoming event initially sparked criticism, as her game seemed unprepared for such a high-profile occasion. However, the tournament could gain significant attention due to her celebrity status and the presence of Caitlin Clark, potentially benefiting women’s golf. While Trump’s golf credentials are modest, her substantial social media following may attract more viewers to the LPGA. This move highlights the tour’s need for innovative strategies, even if controversial, to enhance visibility and growth.
